We have completed our moving to new server which give you 100Mbps full duplex connection. We almost done with our IP-to-Country module but don't worry because we don't have plan to limit access from certain country anytime soon. It will make our plan for a smarter Avatar possible :) |

We found a big problem with the new server. It crap out when handling high speed connection which didn't show up on our test. So now we are back to our old server until it can be fix :D |

We have 4 new features to implement this week:
- Hotlinking Prevention
- IP-to-Country Detection
- Better Statistic
- Better Administration
This is necessary to take Avatar to the next level, to make it more admin friendly in case we are going to provide Avatar as a service to other webmasters.
Hotlinking prevention is something that we must have to prevent abuse on our system. If you block your browser referer and cookies, Avatar will complain to your browser. We need either one of them to be on so we can verify your browser.
IP-to-Country detection is a must since some webmasters block certain country from using their service.

We got a new build with Cookie Jar feature to overcome Avatar crashing and losing all cookies stored in it's memory. We still need test it to see if there is a performance loss. Nothing faster than direct memory access but we think our Cookie Jar should be fast enough.
We are going to test the new build on the weekend. Sorry for any inconvenience it may cause.

We fixed some bugs that still lingering on Avatar which should make it more stable and faster. We expect new server with faster connection later this weekend or early next week. Enjoy your summer vacation if you got one :)
We do have limit on file size you can access through Avatar. Currently it's 10 MB. So if you need to get file bigger than that, you need to wait for our next service.
We are working on something really cool. It should be ready by the time summer vacation is over.

We are planning to add SSL support to Avatar to enable a more secure access for our users. We are also looking into selective javascript processing where we will try to decode manually certain websites javascript so it can work through Avatar. Automatic processing of javascripts just didn't works. Too many holes leaking through that. So, stay tuned.
We have to delay further VideoBender.com integration since we still trying to figure out how to provide bandwidth required to make it useful.
